Your Bud’s Beginnings

milling and mashing

We began WITH ONLY THE FINEST INGREDIENTS

To create a great lager, you must start with the best ingredients. Premium malt and rice were blended with purified water as we began to brew your Bud.

We add rice to your beer to achieve the clear, crisp finish you get from every Budweiser.

we added the spice of your bud

A blend of the choicest hops deliver a floral aroma with subtle spice notes. We use 3 varieties of hops to get that perfect Bud balance.

As crops change each year, the Brewmaster makes tiny adjustments to the Budweiser recipe, ensuring a consistent brew every time.

fermentation

the yeast started to work its magic and your budweiser became a beer

We use a descendant of the original Budweiser yeast culture from 1876, which is regularly imported from our brewery in St Louis, USA – the home of Budweiser. The yeast is what defines the unique taste of your Bud.

We’ve kept our yeast a secret for over 130 years. We spend a lot of time cultivating and protecting this important natural ingredient.

beechwood

Your Bud Was Aged To Perfection

Budweiser is the only major brewer that continues the time-honoured process of beechwood ageing, producing a taste, smoothness and drinkability you’ll find in no other beer.

This is by far the longest step in our brewing process. Your Bud is matured over beechwood for 15 days to develop that famous clean, crisp taste.

finishing

Your Bud gained its impressive finish

During this stage your Budweiser is cold filtered, leaving a clean and refreshing beer, which glows golden when held up to the light.

By now your Budweiser and its ingredients have been tasted over 10 separate times throughout the process. It’s now ready to leave the brewery.
